Thuparamaya is the first stupa built in Sri Lanka after the introduction of Buddhism, located in Anuradhapura. Constructed by King Devanampiyatissa in the 3rd century BC, it is believed to enshrine the right collarbone relic of the Buddha. The stupa's bell shape and surrounding stone pillars reflect early Buddhist architecture. Thuparamaya is a highly sacred site and continues to attract pilgrims and visitors for its historical and religious significance.
